The Stanley Cup Finals start tomorrow and with both of our favorite teams bowing out already (Lampl - Pittsburgh, Zaba - NYR) we don't have a dog left in the fight. Nevertheless we will still be watching and after much discussion and a heated debate here is our predications:
Cody being a defenseman wouldn't stop raving about how amazing the Chicago Dmen are. It was hard to argue with him considering they do have some huge names on the backend including Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Johnny Oduya, and Nicklas Hjalmarsson. With all world forwards in Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane leading the way, complimented by 4 solid lines and a goaltender who has been there before it would be hard to bet against them.
Lamps' pick: Chicago in 6
Being a goalie I'm immediately drawn to the goalie matchup in this series. Corey Crawford has been there before and Chicago always seems to find ways to win. How will he handle the offensive firepower that the Lightning have throughout their lineup? On the other hand which Ben Bishop will show up for Tampa? Will it be the guy who got pulled in a 7-3 game 6 loss or the guy who posted shutouts on the road in games 5 and 7 in Madison Square Garden? All in all, I like the Lightning's firepower up front and I think fatigue might set in for the Chicago D.
Zabs pick: Tampa in 6
We want to here from you guys. Let us know your predications in the comment section below on who you think will be hoisting the Cup in what should be a fantastic series.
