Former Steelhead Chad Nehring in the AHL Eastern Conference Finals

It's always great to see people you grew up with and former teammates enjoying success in their hockey careers. Chad Nehring was a teammate of Cody Lampl with the Idaho Steelheads and grew up just outside of Matt Zaba's hometown of Yorkton, Saskatchewan. After spending the previous three seasons in the ECHL and CHL, Chad started this year off with the the ECHL's Greenville Road Warriors. After a strong start, were Nehring had 12 points in 17 games, he received his first promotion to the AHL and has not looked back. Chad is currently a staple in the Hartford Wolfpack line up, who begin their series against the Manchester Monarchs in the AHL Calder Cup Eastern Conference Finals. That series begins on Thursday night with game one in Manchester. Click here to read a nice feature on the success he's had this season and the journey to get there.
