It was a busy weekend of hockey with the Fischtown Pinguins playing 2 games, and Colorado College traveling to Lowell Mass for 2 games against the River Hawks. Here's a recap to get you guys caught up.
The first placed Fischtown Pinguins opened their weekend by beating the 6th placed SC Riessersee 5-1. Here are the highlights from the game.
In their second game of the weekend, the Pinguins squared off against Starbulls Rosenheim. Rosenheim currently sits in 8th place in the DEL2 standings but nonetheless were able to knock off the top seeded Pinguins 4-2. Here are are the highlights from the game.
Colorado College travelled to number 9 ranked UMASS-Lowell this weekend for two games. The River Hawks broke a 2-2 tie with under 5 minutes left to win Friday's game 3-2. Here are the highlights from the game.
Saturday's game was also tightly contested as the Tigers fell 2-1. Here are the highlights from that game.
The Tigers are home this weekend against the Boston College Eagles.
We also want to thank the Steamboat Springs Hockey Association for bringing us up this past weekend to work with the kids and coaches in their association. It was an great experience meeting so many enthusiastic coaches and players looking to improve their game.
