When I was 18 years old, I moved away from home to play junior hockey for the Penticton Panthers (now the Penticton Vees) of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League (BCHL). It was my first year away from home and to say it was an adjustment would be an understatement. I had an amazing billet family but I definitely struggled on the ice to find any consistency.
It was also the first time in my life that I had ever got custom made goalie pads. My Vaughn Velocity 34 +2 goal pads were white, blue and red and I thought they were gorgeous. For all our goalies out there, you can all relate to the feeling of getting new gear. It's like Christmas morning. Those pads were simply amazing and by far my favorite set that I've ever owned.
With that being said, we are thrilled to announce that we are teaming up with Vaughn Hockey for our Mountain High Hockey goalie camps. Having confidence in your abilities and in your equipment is such a huge part in any goalie's success and we couldn't be happier to have one of the leaders in the industry involved to help us give our students the best possible development opportunities available.
