Mountain High Hockey & the American Development Model

We are firm believers in the American Development Model that has been implemented by USA Hockey and we tailor our camps around this philosophy. The first half of practice focusses on skating, where we target the ABC's (agility, balance, and coordination), by instructing our players on  proper edge control. The second half of practice we break into small groups and rotate through different stations on the ice. Each station has a specific skill set that we target to improve, whether that is passing, shooting, puck control or learning to make plays in small areas. Each hour long ice session is designed to be a high energy and productive practice that will keep our students engaged and working the entire time while focussing on their long term development.
